About Urban Promise UK (UPUK): Igniting Futures in Chadwell Heath
At Urban Promise UK, we’re not just running programmes; we’re sparking a movement, with a mission to empower young people to break down barriers, seize opportunities, and become the visionary leaders who transform their community. Through our Student Leader Programme (for teens) and After School Club (for primary school age kids), we equip young people with the spiritual, academic, and personal tools to thrive. This isn’t just about after-school care; it’s about building a brighter future, one young life at a time, inspired by our faith in Christ.
Over the past 3 years we have built a thriving community in Marks Gate, Dagenham. Now we are thrilled to have been invited to set up a new site and programmes in St Chad’s Church, Chadwell Heath. This new Youth Worker role is the first step in building these programmes and community at this new site, with support from our established site in Marks Gate.

The Role: Your Chance to Make a Difference
We’re seeking a passionate Youth Worker to bridge two incredible communities: Urban Promise UK and St Chad’s Church. You’ll be at the heart of our Student Leader programme, mentoring teens, championing their academic growth, and empowering them as they contribute to our after-school club and kitchen. If you can think on your feet, juggle multiple tasks with a smile, and inspire young minds in a fast-paced environment, this is for you!
You’ll also be a driving force during our Easter and Summer Holiday Clubs, leading planning sessions, delivering dynamic training, and orchestrating exciting trips that create unforgettable memories for teens.

We will train you in the Urban Promise approach and culture, supporting you as you build confidence in our model and working alongside you as you lead the site team.
Crucially, your role extends to the wider youth community. As the Youth Worker for St Chad’s Church, you’ll lead engaging Bible studies and shared meals on Monday evenings, and inspire the young people during Sunday morning services. You’ll be instrumental in fostering one cohesive, vibrant youth community, where all young people feel connected and empowered.
This unique dual role requires a dynamic individual who can seamlessly adapt between a charity and church setting, always striving to strengthen the bonds and serve the young people who often belong to both. Are you ready to shape lives and build a unified, thriving youth community in Chadwell Heath?
